Taping - Fingers

tape
This form of taping can be used in order to relieve a finger, which has received a blow, but which is still moveable.

Using 2 fingers the uninjured finger supports the injured. The tape is placed between the finger joints, which means that the fingers can still be used however in some limited way.

As it is normally the finger joint which has been injured the tape must never be placed around that joint because the joint normally swells up and this will cause a blocking of the blood stream due to the tape.
